Why we started this organisation
In the heart of Isiolo, Kenya, a tale of courage, compassion, and community unfolded, giving birth to the BintiHopes Organization in 2022. At its center was Zeituna, a resilient young girl from the Bula Pesa ward whose spirit ignited a desire for change among community members.
Despite facing adversity in her orphaned and impoverished upbringing, Zeituna’s determination to pursue education and basic necessities struck a chord within the community. Witnessing her struggles, a group of compassionate individuals united to form BintiHopes, named after the hope they aimed to instill in girls like Zeituna.
Driven by the belief that every child deserves access to education and healthcare, BintiHopes began on a mission to empower young girls. Through scholarships, healthcare initiatives, and menstrual hygiene awareness programs, BintiHopes provided girls with the tools to build brighter futures.
